Explore the sea cave Cova del Llop Marí
Close to the Torn beach is the mysterious Llop Marí (sea lion) cave. It is especially recommended to take a kayak or paddle surf excursion to this area. It is a cave excavated by the sea in the bowels of the mountain where we can discover the legend of the Llop Marí. This fantastic animal was created by the god Neptune. It used to attack pirates approaching the coast of L'Hospitalet de l'Infant and, according to the legend, took refuge in this cave. It seems to have disappeared years ago, yet some fishermen still claim to have seen it a short time ago...
Once in the cave, you can enjoy a large space that may surprise you. At the bottom of this room is a small beach that varies in size depending on the state of the sea. In this more than paradisiacal setting, there is a zigzagging side gallery of approximately 18 metres in length, with a width of 4 metres and a height of almost 2 metres, which decreases as you advance. There is a chimney at the beginning of the gallery and a spectacular column divides it in the middle. In this marvellous environment, visitors can observe interesting lithogenesis processes in this unique natural space.
To ensure the preservation of this natural environment, the access to the cave is regulated during the summer season by a team that ensures the proper use of the area.
The BOOKING SYSTEM will be available from Monday 22 June.
