Punta del Riu Beach

The beach of Punta del Riu (River End) is located next to the marina of L'Hospitalet de l'Infant. Like the Arenal beach, it is also highly recommended for water sports. It has a lenght of 600 metres and a width of 70 metres and connects L'Hospitalet de l'Infant with the municipality of Mont-roig del Camp. Next to this small beach lays the mouth of the Llastres river, a good example of a Mediterranean wetland area. From the wooden footbridge that crosses it, you can observe, among other plants, reeds, tamarisk and rushes, as well as migratory birds and protected species such as the ‘fartet’, a fish in danger of extinction.
