The Olive Oil Interpretation Centre is located in Vandellòs, namely in the town’s former olive oil mill built in 1930, next to the C-44 regional road, which links L’Hospitalet de l’Infant and Móra d’Ebre.
Inside the Vandellòs Mill, you’ll find a room housing its original machinery and you’ll also be able to listen to millers who used it and see a 1970 documentary where the olive oil mill is viewed still working.
This revamped and updated authentic building, that was turned into the olive oil interpretation centre, has some modern museum equipment (audiovisual screens, hyperrealistic resin figures, audio guides, sound reinforcement). Here, you’ll be able to delve into the olive oil world and discover the whole elaboration process of this treasured liquid.
To complete the visit, you can taste some La Vall de Llors olive oil. A wonderful bread dipping experience!
This summer, if you feel like, you can also book a guided visit that features a demonstration of aromatic oils or traditional soap!
